The Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation (WisDOT) - Southwest Region is moving forward with the design of future improvements for US 14/South Avenue between Green Bay Street and Ward Avenue in the City of La Crosse.
WisDOT has scheduled the fourth Public Involvement Meeting for the US 14 Improvements project to provide information about the status of the project and to obtain your input. A preferred alternative for improving the project corridor has been identified and will be presented at this meeting. In addition, right of way needs for the preferred alternative have been identified and will be shown at this meeting.
Your input and feedback are important to the success of this project. You are invited to attend the meeting.
A brief presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by an open-house meeting format. Staff from WisDOT will be on hand to answer questions about the project and obtain your comments.
The purpose of the project is to improve safety and address deteriorated pavement along the project corridor. This will be accomplished by reconstructing the roadway with a narrow raised median, constructing roundabouts at the West Avenue, 16th Street, and Ward Avenue intersections, and improving pedestrian accommodations.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ryan Murphy, Consultant Project Manager at 414.607.6765 or Darren Fortney, Public Involvement Representative at 608.620.6191.
